The Problem
Description: Hackers are able to insert client-side script into Web pages viewed by other users using Cross-site scripting (XSS) which creates security vulnerabilities. Internet Explorer (IE version 8 and up) provides a Cross-site scripting (XSS) filter that can help prevent one website from adding potentially malicious script code to another website. This filter is turned on by default. When the XSS filter detects a script injection, it pops up a warning message: "Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting". While the Cross-site scripting (XSS) filter projects your online security and safety from maliciously injected scripting code, it can also prevent you from using functionalities offered by trusted web sites.
The Solution
You need to turn off the XSS filter when you visit a known and trustworthy website that must use the XSS feature. Recommendation: you can enable the filter after you visiting the trustworthy site so as to continue protecting yourself when browsing other unknown websites.
