The Problem
When Microsoft Office Word is launched or running, you get an error message saying "Microsoft Office Word has stopped working". It then states: “A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” The program exits unexpectedly.

An add-in is an installed component that adds custom commands and new functionality to Microsoft Office programs. When the add-in is not compatible with Microsoft Office Word or is out of date, there will be problem. By disabling the add-ins one at a time, you can identify the malfunctioning add-in and disable it or upgrade it.
