The Microsoft Windows Recycle Bin stores files or folders that you have deleted in case you want to restore them. When the Recycle Bin folder has become corrupted, it cannot be emptied. The result is that files are not permanently deleted and a lot of space is used. It is also difficult to locate items in the folder should you want to restore them.
The Solution
When the Recycle Bin folder has become corrupted, the items cannot be permanently deleted and the bin emptied. The solution is to remove the folder so the Recycle Bin can be rebuilt.
