The Problem

Internet Explorer (IE) runs very slowly, stops responding, frequently hangs, freezes, or locks up.

You can run a temporary Internet Explorer (IE) session without any add-ons, toolbars, or Browser Help Objects (BHO's). This provides a good preview of how your browser can perform without extra items and it gives you an idea of whether there are any add-ons you will miss if you choose to disable add-ons and reset the browser to its original default state. All IE add-ons are disabled including ActiveX controls and toolbars. As a result, some web pages may not display correctly. This tool is not available for IE 6.
