Privacy, Security, and Junk: Daily operation of your PC such as email and online browsing leads to storage of unwanted items we refer to as “junk” files. There are also traces of personal and confidential information that are stored including passwords, credit card information, and email / chat communications. The storage of this information occurs without your knowledge or consent. Over time, the ongoing collection of junk will result in a slower PC and storage of sensitive information can expose you and your family to identity and security theft. PC Clean Maestro also includes an Unistaller tool to remove unwanted items and functionality that can disable browser toolbars and add-ons and restore browsers to their original settings. Starting a Scan To begin, we will look at how to start a scan and how to review and select detected items for removal.
Start a scan by doing the following: From the Privacy & Security page, click the Start Scan button.
PC Clean Maestro will appear and scan your system and when the scan is complete you will see a popup window like this:
Review the Results Next you can review the results and remove items.
Review and remove items by doing the following:

This popup window will appear when the program automated Clean Scan schedule is set to run. If you are launching the application from PC TuneUp Maestro, this popup will not appear.
