This section of the help file includes information about the Main Menu as well as overall program functionality and where to go for each.

Launch PC TuneUp Maestro

You can launch the program in a variety of ways depending on what components you chose during the install process.

Installation Startup Components

Component Name:

Description:

Create a desktop icon

This creates a desktop icon for launching the program.

Create a Quick Launch icon

This creates an icon located in the Quick Launch area of the taskbar. The Quick Launch area is found near to the "Start" button of your taskbar.

 

notes  The installation component not listed here is "Create a scheduled scan".

 

If you did not install one or both of the startup components you can create a startup icon by doing the following:

1.Click the Start button, select Programs > CompuClever > CompuClever PC TuneUp Maestro.
2.When the selection "PC TuneUp Maestro" is displayed, drag and drop the menu item to the area (desktop or Quick Launch bar).

 

 

Once you start the program you have access to the following functionality.

Smart TuneUp is a collection of tools found in other areas of the application.  The tools includes:

 

Registry Repair:

To identify registry issues and fix them.

System TuneUp:

To discover any opportunities to optimize system performance.

Internet TuneUp:

To discover any opportunities to optimize Internet performance.

Registry Defrag:

To analyze whether your registry is fragmented and to defrag it.

•Get file support for previously unsupported formats.
•Fix file extension issues.

 

 

toggle_expand_16   Fix & Clean

The Fix & Clean category includes:

 

Registry Repair:

To scan for registry issues and fix them.

Internet Explorer Repair

To fix Internet Explorer problems and improve its performance.

Hard Drive CleanUp:

To analyze whether your computer has any hard drive space that can be cleaned up and reclaimed.

BackUp & Restore:

To create and manage system restore points.

Windows Systems Tools:

Access shortcuts to commonly used Windows system tools.

Windows Update Tool

Check for security and driver updates quickly and easily.

The Optimize category includes

 

Disk Defrag:

To identify disk fragmentation and consolidate it to optimize file access.

Registry Defrag:

To analyze whether your registry is fragmented and to defrag it.

System TuneUp:

To discover any opportunities to optimize system performance.

To discover any opportunities to optimize Internet performance.

StartUp Management:

To manage applications in Windows startup so as to optimize startup performance.
